Are You a Punishing Leader?

There are very few people in the world who want to be mean. I have met a few and I put as much distance between me and them as I can!

But if you’re a business owner, there’s a chance you could actually be seen as mean without even trying.

Here is what can happen …

Things are not going so well, there are issues you’re having difficulty resolving and the numbers are off. As an entrepreneur this is an incredibly challenging place to be. And no matter how hard we try, we sometimes simply can’t hide how we feel.

As a result we may be short, tense, and even snap at the people around us.

This is understandable; you have every right to be tense because you’re emotionally invested in your business. This affects you!

Just don’t let things get worse than they should. If your team does not know what is going on and you act this way, they will all think the same thing: “It must be me.”

It does not need to be this way—there is a solution.

Is it really this easy? The simple answer is yes.

Transparency empowers the people around you, lets them know what’s going on, resolves insecurities and allows your team to solve challenges!
